Antje spent part of the summer designing and constructing the setting for a TED conference in Madrid, Spain with a group of students from CCA. The task was to take a space that was unclaimed, uninhabited under a freeway - an urban void, and transform it into an event, a space full of culture and exchange. Makes you wonder what could be done with the undernourished in-between spaces all around us.

The 2011 Chengdu Biennale will be held at the East Chengdu Music Park and Industrial Civilization Museum from September 30 to October 31. With a theme of “Holistic Realm: Garden City,” our exhibition will showcase an urban fabric as a collective stormwater collection and distribution system that sustains landscape and parks in the city of Tianjin. The project is a collaborative research and design project by 14 graduate students at UC Berkeley under the instruction of Renee Chow.
